Today was not a good art day for me

I drew the Martian manhunter drawing at 9 am, had a lot of fun loved it. Shared it with folk, they thought it was cool, but suddenly I hated it for no reason!

Then I tried to draw several other things that would've been so cool and I put a lot of effort into and I hated every second of it so I just gave up cuz I'm not gonna do something I don't like.

So then I drew content warning fanart and it came out cool and I like the finished product and I put a lot of thought into it, but I hated every second of drawing it.

Then I tried to draw another thing, liked it at first, then I decided I hated it and scrapped that shit.

So then I drew one of my ocs and I actually had fun and I don't actually hate it, but it's not really finished.

How to fix printer offline problem  in windows

Restart the printer and computer

Many times it happens that electric items turn on but do not work. For this, you have to turn off the power of the printer on the computer for 30 seconds. And again after 30 seconds, turn it on and turn on the power supply. This will solve the problem if it is due to power.

Troubleshoot Printer

If your printer is also showing offline then first of all you have to troubleshoot, to troubleshoot you have to follow these steps.

Search Control Panel > Devices & Printers > Select Printer > Right Click on Printer > Troubleshoot

Make sure the printer and computer are connected to the same network and that the cable

You also have to inform that if your printer is being connected with wire then make sure that it is connected properly, if it is connected with USB then check the USB cable properly that it is connected properly and if the printer is connected with WiFi or network then you have to check your network connection properly, if your printer is on the network and is connected with WiFi in any way then also check that the network connection is working properly.

The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update 23/May/2025 

I don’t know what it is about Wednesdays, but apparently they are the days when I absolute hammer it, lol!

I did really well all week again, but Wednesday was just full-on and intense!

Today though, I’ve been working on the scenes for asking the BFF vampire to the dance class with your MC! They have some very fun responses to that, hehe! :D

This week, I also finally sat down, printed out the rest of my plan (when the printer decided to play ball. Jeez, two hours later, and I finally managed to get it to work. N’s tech phobia really comes from personal experience, lol!), and divided it into chapters.

I hadn’t been doing that so far, working with scenes instead and cutting it off when it seemed appropriate for the chapter, but I wanted to get on top of that and see where I’m at with it all.

The chapters may not stay as I have them planned, but it was good to get an idea! Though blimey, the chapters this book are intense, hehe! I usually have some chapters where I get a bit of a breather—they’re simpler, not much branching or variation, and only one or two characters in the chapter—but oh boy! Not in this book! Every chapter has some major branching/variation/character interactions going on.

But then that’s what I want for Wayhaven. I want it to really react to the reader and how they’ve played so far or how they are playing it now! It just means that is more in the background to have it smoothly flow that way :D

And I have to say, I’m so proud of what Book Four is becoming!

Rest of this week and next week is continuing on with writing. I really want to slam into this chapter as, again, there’s a ton of variations to it!

Though next week on Patreon there's going to be a very exciting poll! The end of this chapter has the decision of which kind of ‘gem’ you choose as your MC’s theme for the upcoming ball, and as usual, I couldn’t decide which ones to choose as it’s waaay too many to have them all. So, I thought I’d let the patrons decide the final list! :D

I’ll let you know the results so you can all start thinking about the ball scene as much as I am…hehehe! ;D

whether the internet becomes an intolerable surveillance state, ubiquitous subscription model, or unusably ad- or AI-ridden shithole, I think we need to remember

how to do things offline

either on your personal hard drive (just because it’s an app doesn’t mean the information is stored in your device) or on paper. I’m not saying the collapse of the internet is imminent, and I’m not suggesting we do everything completely without technology, or even stop using it until we have to. (to be clear, I also don’t think the internet will just blink out of existence, suddenly stop being a thing at all; rather I think it might continue to lose its usefulness to the point where it’s impossible to get anything done. anyway) but some people may have forgotten how we got by before the internet (I almost have!), and the younger generation might not have experienced it at all.

I figure most people probably use the internet mainly for communication with friends and family, entertainment and creation (eg. writing), and looking up how to do things, so here’s how to do those things offline:

First and most importantly, download everything important to you onto at least one hard drive and at least one flashdrive! files can get corrupted and hardware can get damaged or lost, but as long as you keep backup copies, you have much-closer-to-guaranteed access versus hoping a business doesn’t decide to paywall, purge, or otherwise revoke your access. I would recommend getting irreplaceable photos printed as well

download and/or print/write down:

anything important to you - photos/videos, journals, certificates, college transcripts

contact info - phone numbers and/or addresses of friends/family (know how to contact them if you can’t use your favourite messaging app), doctors (open hours would be good too), veterinarians if you have pets, and work

how-to’s - recipes (one, two), emergency preparedness (what do I do if… eg. I smell gas)

other things you might google: cleaning chemicals to NOT mix, what laundry tag symbols mean, people food dogs and cats can and can’t eat, plant toxicity to pets

and know offline ways to find things out - local radio station, newspaper, a nearby highway rest area might have a region map, public libraries usually have a bunch of resources

also, those of you who get periods should strongly consider not using period tracking apps! here’s how to track your period manually

free printable period tracker templates (no printer? public libraries usually charge a few cents per page, or you can recreate it by hand)

moving on to entertainment, you can still get most media for free! it’s completely legal to download your favourite movies to your own personal hard drive, you just can’t sell or distribute copies (not legal advice)

movies: wcostream.tv (right click the player) - the url changes every once in a while but usually redirects; I recently noticed that it’s hiding a lot of movies behind “premium,” so it may or may not work anymore | download youtube videos

music: how to get music without streaming it | legal free downloads

games: steamunlocked.net - doesn’t have every game and can be slow to update, but very reliable

books: free online libraries | legal free downloads

otherwise passing time:

active outdoor games

for road trips (social verbal games)

for when power’s out

for sheltering in place (not all offline, but good ideas)

board games (often found at thrift stores)

ad-free customisable games collection (mobile)

read, write, draw, or whatever your craft is, sing, dance, clean, reorganise, take a bath

go outside - excuses include napping (if safe), eating, reading, finding cool plants/animals/rocks, playing with the dog

places to go include:

zoos and museums can be surprisingly cheap

parks and nature preserves

library, mall, or game shop

and a few miscellaneous things for good measure:

time budgeting | household management

how to use a planner | I’ve had success with visually blocked-out schedules like these

When Copia introduced the ghouls and ghoulettes to ✨ technology ✨ he learnt very quickly that they needed screen time limits and parental controls.

Dew was hooked within the first 10 minutes of using his laptop and stayed on it for 3 days straight. He hissed and scratched when Copia tried to take it off him. He now has a screen time limit of 2 hours a day.

Rain, after being given access to Copia's Netflix account, locked himself in his room with Mountain, all the snacks in The Kitchen's cupboards, and binge watched Every. Single. Nature documentary they could find. They're both only allowed to watch 2 documentaries a day (providing they can find one they haven't watched yet).

Aether was, thankfully, quite sensible. For about a week. At first, he just used his phone for Google and WhatsApp. Searching up medical conditions and sending a screenshot of the description to the other doctors working in the infirmary to confirm if a patient has that illness or not. One day, he noticed one of the nurses wearing a digital watch that counted their steps. He wanted one desperately and asked how he could get one too. He was then shown how to order things offline and he bought his watch shortly after . . . as well as 87 bananas, banana toothpaste, banana socks, a banana phone case, banana shaped earrings, a matching banana necklace, banana shorts, and a plethora of other banana related items. Copia now has to personally approve of anything Aether wants to buy.

Swiss became addicted to his phone solely for the fact he could listen to music whenever wherever. This was not really a problem until he started complaining that he couldn't hear people when they were talking. Aether checked him out and found that he had partially damaged his ears from blasting music 24/7. He now has to wear kids headphones that cannot be turned up to the max. Swiss is not happy.

Cirrus, Cumulus, and Sunnie are no longer allowed to go on Amazon as they bought at least a dozen cans of silly string each and sprayed Sodo's room as payback for screeching at Aurora when she interrupted him on his laptop.

Aurora refused to use Google ever again after Copia found out she had Googled 'boobies'. He wasn't mad, she was just embarrassed. Swiss has offered to teach her how to delete her search history but she never wants to go on the internet ever again.

Phantom doesn't really know how to use technology, even after being taught by Copia. Rain did show him how to print off pictures and that is, so far, the only thing knows how to do. He is no longer allowed to go anywhere near the printers, however, as he managed to print off 103 baby bat pictures from EVERY PRINTER IN THE MINISTRY. The printer code has since been changed.

Review: As someone who has read the novels, I think this was a pretty accurate depiction of the writing and I love love the personalities that they managed to make tangible on screen. It was my favorite part of the novellas. On another note, I love love love the theme animation thing! Its so adorable. They do the whump so well! Its one of my favorite tropes to have the character collapse with a fever after injury and get taken care of. I'm like savoring every moment of this <3

Random fun fact.

I grew up calling an exclamation point a bang mark, I got it from my dad and didn't realise it was an unusual term. As I hit my teens most of my social circle was online weirdos, and they were the ones I was talking writing with; I realised the term was less common, but I didn't think of it as obscure at all.

But then one of my younger siblings, whose social circle is primarily offline unweirdos, was convinced that "bang mark" was one of our family meme words and not a real thing. I assured her it was real, I'd seen plenty of people use it online, but maybe it was more obscure than I'd thought. So I looked it up and found that it's old printer's slang which got a second wind on the usenet. That has our dad written all over it. Mystery solved. And it makes sense that it trickled into general online fandom and nerd spaces from the older fans who'd been on the usenet when dad was.

Things to do with your system offline (part two)!

Make a headspace if you don't have one [or further develop it]. There are many guides and tips out there.

Meditate! There are a lot of reasons people mediate, so I won't list them all here but it could help with communication (as you quiet some of that mind clutter) or entering/seeing headspace, for example. - Being able to clear your head is just... Incredible, would recommend.

Map your system. You can do this anyway you want, such as incorporating a collage or art, or you could do a simple spider graph (or multiple).

Make a mental health binder. Get a three ring binder, dividers, and sheet protectors (if desired). If you don't own a printer many libraries have printers available [certain amount of cents per sheet], print out your favourite coping strategies, quotes, advice, worksheets, and such things. If you search "mental health binder" or "mental health sheets" in Etsy you can find premade sheets available for purchase, or you could make your own in Canva.

Make a system timeline. From what caused your system to your system discovery, you can start anywhere you want. Include the most memorable or important moments in your journey as a system to where you are now (or go further and map out future goals).

“We've got to stop meeting like this,” Vittoria pants against his mouth, fingers fumbling around the small office closet for a light switch. She doesn't find it, instead Solas crowds her further into the back wall, knocking down a few binders and printer papers on the floor.

“Any objections?” Solas asks against her bare neck, nosing the dark brown skin under her jawbone, before nipping it with his teeth.

“No,” she says with a moan, cupping the back of his skull with her palm, her other hand's finger digging into his shoulder, “but absolutely no one can know about this.”

“Noted,” Solas says and with a quick flash of a movement slips his cold hand under her cream white pressed shirt. She shivers as his long fingers dance over her ribbones.

“I mean it,” Vittoria says, letting out a small pleased sigh as Solas grabs her breast over her lace bra, while he sucks on her neck like a bloody vampire. “I can't go out there looking like I was mauled by a wolf again.”

“Noted,” Solas says again. He always gets so single-mindedly focused when they do this – it's like he completely turns his terrifyingly smart brain offline. Not that Vittoria will ever complain about that.

This is the sixth time they have snuck away to fuck at work in as many months they have worked together. It’s still as exhilarating as it was the first time. The first time they did this was at the Wintersend office party after having a huge fight in front of all their coworkers. Vittoria had worked at the company for three weeks and didn't know anyone really well, but figured that a few drinks would loosen up everyone's tongue enough for the party not to be terribly awkward.

She mingled around the party mildly sloshed, until she ended up talking with Solas, which was a grave mistake. She doesn’t even remember what the original argument was about, but they ended up fucking in the cloakroom afterwards, and Vittoria was forced to admit that it was the best sex of her life, though admittedly she was having a bit of a dry spell back then. Solas fixed that up very quickly.

It was only the start of many more arguments, but they soon learned to channel their frustrated energy in other ways – even at work. As much as Vittoria loves to pretend that none of her coworkers know about them, it's a rather hopeless idea. One time when she and Solas snuck away, they surprised Lace and Taash making out in the office closet, which was mortifying for all four of them. Taash winked at her cheekily after they left them alone with awkward apologies, which was so embarrassing that Vittoria didn’t talk (or argue, rather) with Solas for two weeks.

They never fuck or even see each other on their freetime. There are rumours around the office about Solas having other flings all the time, and Vittoria tries not to let it bother her. It’s just sex. It's not as if either of them have feelings for each other or anything.

Definitely not.

She fumbles with his belt buckle before finally managing to open it. Vittoria unzips his trousers, pulls down his underwear and unceremoniously grabs his prick in her hand. Solas groans loudly and lifts his head to kiss her again, long and hard. He's velvety and soft in her fist as she slowly jacks him off. She quickly grows tired of it, though, wanting to feel him inside of her, so she lets go and pulls away from his mouth to turn around and pulls down her black pencil skirt and underwear.

Vittoria looks at him over her shoulder. He looks completely wrecked – his lips are bee-stung and his forehead shines from sweat, but there is also something quite soft in his blue gaze as he looks at her. Something tender. But then she blinks and it's gone, replaced only by hunger and desire.

“Come on,” she says, voice a little raspy as if she had an aching throat, but it's pure emotion “You bastard,” she adds light-heartedly and Solas smirks, which is decidedly not hot at all.

Vittoria half-expects him to make her beg for it, but he doesn't. Instead he takes a hold of his prick and pushes it into her wet cunt without further ado.

He fucks her hard and with great enthusiasm. He always does. She moans with every thrust, gripping the shelfs in front of her, but soon she presses a fist to her mouth to try to drown out the noise she makes. They really shouldn't be doing this without a condom, but she didn't even pause to think about it further.

They don't tend to draw it out, so it's over fairly quickly, and for a moment she wishes they would have more time to do this – that they would actually do this in a bed instead of a tiny closet at work.

Afterwards Solas looks at her as he tucks himself back inside his fancy expensive looking trousers and straightens his tie. He says nothing as Vittoria re-buttons her shirt and pulls up her skirt, wiping away . He continues to say nothing as Vittoria checks herself from her phone camera and sighs deeply. She looks like she was just fucked six way until Sunday. Fantastic.

She glances at Solas, who doesn't look much better than her. They will definitely be the talk of the office after today – if they are not already. Lace and Taash got engaged last week, so maybe they will gossip about that for a while longer, though she isn't holding out much hope for that.

“Well…” Vittoria begins, shifting from one foot to the other. Solas is just looking at her, eyes glinting with something she can't decipher. “Thanks,” she says and pushes past him to the door.

“Don't forget to fax the papers to Mr. Trevelyan. He expects them today by midday.”

She rolls her eyes and without sparing him a glance or word, and then she is out of the closet leaving him behind.

Apparently there were no real benefits for fucking your boss.
